I korthet

As a Design Verification Engineer at Qualcomm, you will work with Chip Architects to validate CPU and SOC micro-architectures, ensuring they meet launch-ready standards. Responsibilities include developing test plans, verification environments, and executing verification strategies to ensure product quality.

Ansvarsområden

Work with CPU and SOC Architects to understand concepts and high-level system requirements.
Develop detailed Test and Coverage plans based on Architecture and Micro-architecture.
Develop Verification Methodology, ensuring scalability and portability across environments.
Develop Verification environment, including Stimulus, Checkers, Assertions, Trackers, and Coverage.
Develop Verification Plans and Testbenches for your functional domain.
Execute Verification Plans, including Design Bring-up, DV environment Bring-up, Regressions enabling all features, and Debug of test failures.
Track and report DV progress using metrics such as Bugs and Coverage.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of relevant work experience.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Deep knowledge of Micro-Processor Verification functions and Architectures (e.g., Cache Coherence, Memory ordering and Consistency, Prefetching, Branch Prediction, Renaming, Speculative execution, Address Translation/Memory Management).
Knowledge of Random Instruction Sequencing (RIS) and testing designs at Block/Unit and Subsystem/Chip-level.
Experience writing Test plans, portable Testbenches, Transactors, and Assembly code.
Experience with Verification Methodologies and Tools (Simulators, Coverage collection, Gate-level Simulation, Waveform viewers, Mixed signal Verification).

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience in leading a small team of Verification engineers performing CPU Verification.
Advanced techniques such as: Formal, Assertions, and Silicon bringup are helpful.
In-depth knowledge of Micro-processor functions, Architectures, and Micro-architectures.
Ability to develop and work independently on a Block/Unit of the design.
