As a Compiler Toolchain Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be instrumental in designing and enhancing programming tools like compilers, debuggers, and optimizers. Ansvarsområden

Apply knowledge of software development, processor architecture, debugging, and systems concepts to enhance application domains.
Incorporate features into programming tools to help software developers implement, debug, and optimize code.
Assist in the design and development of industry-standard tools such as debuggers, linkers, profilers, converters, and optimizers.
Help build bit-exact functional or timing-accurate simulators for off-target execution of software.
Provide support for synthesizing and running benchmarks for various applications.
Assist in the design of the compiler toolchain (e.g., LLVM, GCC, MLIR, Halide, TVM) for code compilation onto hardware architecture.
Apply mathematical techniques for programming languages, algorithms, and optimization to enhance performance and power efficiency.
Utilize data structures and heuristics to make compilation tractable.
Assist in applying Intermediate Representation of programs to expose optimization opportunities.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
1+ year of academic and/or work experience with compilers or tools.
Knowledge of software development.
Knowledge of processor architecture (e.g., DSP, CPU, NSP, microcontroller).
Knowledge of debugging and recovery techniques.
Knowledge of systems concepts (e.g., scheduling, memory management, QoS, parallel execution, acceleration, memory models).
Experience with programming languages, algorithms, and optimization.
Familiarity with data structures and heuristics.
Understanding of Intermediate Representation of programs.
