Emerson is looking for a Commodity Manager in Elyria, OH, to lead the development and execution of commodity and supplier strategies. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize costs, identify new suppliers, lead negotiations, and manage supplier performance in a global environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and execute comprehensive commodity and supplier strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement cost optimization initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop diverse and high-performing sources of supply.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract development.
  • Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply risks.
  • Guide supplier performance management and relationship development.
  • Manage commodity data, spend analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Support new product development initiatives.
  • Facilitate sourcing events such as competitive bidding and reverse auctions.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related field experience in a multi-site or global environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JDE/SAP/QlikView, Portal, Insight, IBEE, and Team Center.
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems and principles including low-cost country sourcing, auctions, VA/VE.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sourcing or commodity strategies.
  • Experience analyzing data, market trends, and supplier performance.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and systems for procurement, analytics, or ERP.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
