The Boiler Maker is responsible for production welding, rebuilding pipes, fabrication, and quality control in a mining environment in Solwezi, Zambia. Requires 3-5 years of experience, a Trade Certificate or Diploma, and the ability to read blueprints.

Ansvarsområden

  • Correctly welds pieces of metal together.
  • Prepares materials for welding, cuts, grinds, and cleans metal.
  • Utilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
  • Provides feedback and input into the fabrication process regarding order of assembly, design, materials and fixtures.
  • Rebuilds drill pipes by welding tools together.
  • Learns and practices bit grinding.
  • Learns and repairs rocktools such as hammers and bits.

Krav

  • 3-5 years of experience in welding/fabrication.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, including welding diagrams and symbols.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Understanding of fabrication processes.
  • Ability to learn and practice bit grinding.
  • Ability to learn and repair rocktools such as hammers and bits.
  • Ability to drive a truck of class C licence.
  • Certificate in Metal Fabrication or Equivalent.
  • Trade Certificate, Diploma or Equivalent.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Ability to drive a truck of class C licence and HiAB operation is an added advantage.
