Ericsson is seeking an experienced Hybrid IMS Operations Engineer in Cairo, Egypt. The role focuses on the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IMS, CS, UDM, and Fixed Network domains, requiring advanced second-level support and complex troubleshooting to ensure high network availability and service continuity.

Ansvarsområden

Provide second-level operational support for IMS, CS, UDM, and Fixed Network domains.
Support network integration, project implementations, and acceptance procedures for new nodes and services.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues within agreed SLAs.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis for complex network issues.
Ensure timely responses and effective decision-making during critical incidents and major outages.
Manage Customer Service Requests (CSRs) end-to-end.
Validate and ensure the quality and accuracy of technical solutions before implementation.
Assess and review project documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, ATPs.
Validate test cases for alignment with current network architecture.
Lead and coordinate the introduction of new services or nodes.
Coordinate and lead cross-domain troubleshooting activities.
Conduct periodic audits and proactively identify changes in traffic profiles.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency enhancements.

Krav

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in Voice Core and IMS operations and support.
Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, LTE, IMS, and EPC network architectures, protocols, and signalling flows.
Solid knowledge of 3GPP standards and telecom protocols, including SIP, Diameter, BICC, SIGTRAN, CAMEL, MAP.
Hands-on experience with Ericsson Core and IMS products (MSC, STP, DSC, SBG, CSCF, MTAS, IPWORKS, EME, HLR, HSS, CUDB, UPG).
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work rotational shifts (morning, evening, night).
Strong customer focus, ownership, accountability, and teamwork skills.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in critical operational situations.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience with network automation, scripting, or operational digitalisation is a plus.
Practical knowledge of Python or other programming languages is a plus.
Knowledge of ITIL-based operational processes (incident management, problem management, change management) is a plus.
