ABB is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to support engineering activities for various project sizes under the supervision of senior engineers. The role involves completing tasks cost-effectively, collecting data, and assisting with basic design tasks. This is an entry-level position requiring a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field and 0-2 years of experience.

Ansvarsområden

Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
Exercise judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods.
Prepare project documentation within scope of deliverables.
Assist customers on technical issues and interact with official contacts, contractors, and other staff.
Support communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
Complete tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

Krav

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
0-2 years of experience
Experience with low complexity orders and mechanical designs
Proficient with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer-aided design platform
Experience with 3D design including use of Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design platforms
Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, Windchill, and other applicable software
Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with a high level of creativity
Complex problem-solving skills
Independent thinking and decision-making abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Authorized to legally work in the US
Ability to work in a global business environment with cultural diversity

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with steel or copper fabrication
Experience with electrical distribution equipment, power systems, controls, or mechatronics
Computer Aided Design certification or degree
Internship or co-op experience in mechanical design or manufacturing
Knowledge of ANSI Air Insulated Switchgear
Familiarity with NEC, ANSI, IEEE standards
