Alfa Laval is seeking an Assembler for their new manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting the manufacture of pumps and valves, requiring a high school diploma and experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Ansvarsområden

  • Receive daily work assignments and execute production using Standard Operating Procedures and blueprints.
  • Assemble subcomponents and finished products, and process materials.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using lifts.
  • Perform process setups and value-add activities, following documentation.
  • Execute quality checks and inspections.
  • Report deviations (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment) immediately and update the Team Leader/Manager.
  • Participate in Daily Status Board Meetings, explaining deviations and proposing solutions.
  • Review and suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and drive waste elimination opportunities (time, motion, transportation, inventories) and Kaizen improvements.
  • Engage in daily & weekly 5S routines.
  • Seek cross-training opportunities within different manufacturing processes and support various factory demands.
  • Utilize downtime for learning new processes and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Krav

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to use and care for basic production or assembly hand tools.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing orders.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
