Responsibilities
- Partner with site operations teams to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
- Leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives reducing conditional and ergonomic risk.
- Ensure a safe and healthful working environment for Associates.
- Build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
- Serve as an effective communicator, sending clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing.
- Instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies.
- Assist operations site teams in incorporating safety standards.
- Identify best practices and incorporate them into standards to continuously improve company safety policies.
- Demonstrate expertise in safety programs and relevant safety, environmental, and ergonomic knowledge when working with Operations.
Requirements
- Experience in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs or in work health and safety.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health and Safety or a related field
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
