Responsibilities
- Partner with site operations teams to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk.
- Build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through risk assessments and safety data analysis.
- Instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies.
- Identify best practices and incorporate them into company safety policies.
- Manage and mentor Safety Associates, including creating leadership development plans.
- Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to justify resource allocation.
- Perform site safety audits to identify non-compliance and implement solutions.
- Audit record keeping and Austin entries for compliance.
- Audit workplace organization and associate behaviors for accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure site leadership and associates are trained on their responsibilities under each policy.
Requirements
- 6+ years previous experience in Environment, Health & Safety.
- Thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in Work Health Safety or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including pivot tables, charts, and graphics.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
