Seeking a temporary welder for the 3rd shift (10:30 pm - 7:00 am) from Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include operating welding machines, interpreting blueprints, and performing basic MIG welding on galvanized steel. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, or tend welding machines to join or bond components for metal products or assemblies.
- Load or feed work pieces into welding machines.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, or production schedules.
- Perform basic MIG welding of galvanized steel.
- Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Record operational information on production reports.
- Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures.
- Implement universal standards and specs to meet building codes and legal requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
- Conduct tests to check weld quality, including hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to do basic math.
- Basic understanding of electricity.
- Understanding of metallurgy.

- Experience with hand grinders and pedestal grinders.
- Experience with MIG Welding and processes.
- Experience with grinding and cutting equipment.
- Experience with fixtures.
- Experience with oxy-fuel systems.

- Monday thru Friday
- Must be at least 18 years old
