Atlas Copco Group is looking for a Technical Writer in Pune, India, to create and maintain technical documentation for industrial products. This hybrid role requires strong English writing skills, experience with authoring tools, and collaboration with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Write, update, and create Instruction books, quick start guides, and product instructions.
- Collect, evaluate, check, and complete all information for documentation.
- Organize material and complete writing assignments in accordance with set standards regarding order, clarity, style, and terminology.
- Apply style guides and authoring checklists to maintain documentation quality.
- Work with other writers, Product Managers, service/marketing teams to identify documentation gaps.
- Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others.
- Work closely with technical authors and assess their work for correct and consistent use of the source language.
Requirements
- Experience in authoring tools such as Oxygen, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Word.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical writer.
- Ability to write English clearly and concisely using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proven ability to write conceptual, task-oriented, and reference documentation.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience writing to a style guide and to meet authoring requirements.
- Experience with MS TEAMS to track work and collaborate with product teams.
- Capable of effectively working with multiple stakeholders in cross-cultural, global teams.
Desired Qualifications
- STE certification and course in Technical communication is an added advantage.
- Well organized and able to operate independently.
- Willing to accept the challenges and convert them into success.
- Good planner and systematic organizer.
- A team player that will share information with colleagues and help develop the group.
