Amazon is looking for a Team Lead for its AMZL transportation team in Kolkata. This role involves managing daily shift operations, supporting the DC manager in performance management, and driving the operational plan. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, logistics, or manufacturing, with strong execution and people management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage daily end-to-end operations for sites.
Execute inbound and outbound operations.
Meet customer-facing metrics while maintaining cost targets and team safety/morale.
Drive performance management of team members.
Prepare and implement training and development plans for associates.
Continuously improve the delivery process and attain sustained performance improvement.
Conduct 4M and 5S audits for the delivery station daily.
Stand-in for Area Manager.
Manage day and night shifts.
Focus on high bias for action in station operation.
Be customer obsessed in handling escalations and ensuring good delivery experience.
Manage large numbers of associates.

Requirements

Graduate with 1-3 years of experience in a customer facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing.
Strong execution skills, action oriented, go getter.
Resourceful to identify the way to get things done using limited resources.
Ability to work under pressure situations.
Ability to work in ambiguous situations and come out with solutions.
Good people management skills.
Comfortable with reading, writing and communicating in English.
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
