Qualcomm is looking for a motivated Support Engineer to manage and maintain the Boulder TBS Consolidated Lab, crucial for wireless technology development and 6G initiatives. Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain TBS station and pool health, identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Support daily lab operations including troubleshooting, quarantine management, and recovery.
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and upgrades of TBS stations, devices, and infrastructure.
- Support TBS tools like Custom Scheduler, AXIOM, and Fleet Manager.
- Perform RF performance analysis, test failure triage, and basic root cause investigations.
- Manage UE calibration, device readiness, and station resource availability.
- Generate operational reports and analytics on station utilization and reliability.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineering teams to escalate issues and implement fixes.
- Support hardware, software, and environment management across lab systems.
- Document issues, solutions, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
- OR Associate's degree and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
- OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years).
- Experience with wireless test systems, lab operations, or infrastructure support.
- Knowledge of network concepts and experience debugging network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with RF concepts, Linux and Windows environments, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across diverse engineering teams.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
- OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
- Optional: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or completion of a military technical or trade school program.
