Responsibilities

  • Provide quotations to the sales force.
  • Prioritize and coordinate repairs and reconditioning projects.
  • Manage and administer each repair order.
  • Contact customers to discuss repairs, quote repairs, and follow up.
  • Assist in order entry and invoicing.
  • Maintain production schedules and assist with production meetings.
  • Manage and coordinate standard outsource processes.
  • Research customer equipment in proprietary systems to confirm accuracy of parts and lead time.
  • Utilize BPCS programs, Jeeves, Installed Base, SALLY, CAS, and OPTO to update modifications.
  • Create and assure job packets for repair projects have applicable documentation.
  • Review shop quotes before pricing and finalization.
  • Perform tasks within MRP and Lotus Notes systems (order parts, expedite, create POs, schedule freight).
  • Interact and communicate repair information to shop, customers, and sales personnel.
  • Assist Service Center team to meet published baseline measurements and KPIs.
  • Manage job costs to maintain acceptable margins.
  • Drive 5S projects, investment requests, and process improvements.
  • Maintain applicable inventory reports, records, and proprietary software.
  • Coordinate and assist in the completion and documentation of ACT warranty claims.

Requirements

  • High School or GED.
  • Minimum five years hands-on experience with repairing/reconditioning in manufacturing, job shop, or customer service environment.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and respectful interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform effectively within a team environment.
  • Some understanding of machining and welding techniques.
  • Ability to work within stressful situations (Resilience).
  • Fundamental knowledge of standard word processing software and spreadsheets.
