We are seeking an experienced Python Automation Engineer with strong Python development, automation scripting, and Unix/Linux administration expertise to support enterprise storage and infrastructure environments. The role focuses on developing automation solutions, monitoring frameworks, operational tooling, and supporting storage-related platforms while ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation solutions for infrastructure and storage operations.
- Create and support automation scripts, execution packages, JCLs, monitoring tools, and operational workflows.
- Maintain technical documentation for all deliverables, automation solutions, and operational procedures.
- Support and maintain High Availability (HA) HSM environments across Production and Practice environments.
- Implement and support automated storage pool monitoring and corrective actions for Production and Practice environments.
- Develop, execute, and maintain RFB and IVP activities for storage, disk, and tape solutions.
- Archive and maintain audit and compliance evidence in NFS-based long-term storage repositories.
- Install, manage, and support storage-related certificates through the CLMUI tool.
- Develop and maintain dashboards with key storage, capacity, availability, and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and operations teams to improve service reliability and automation capabilities.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Python development and automation scripting.
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Strong Unix/Linux administration experience.
- Experience with Git and source code management.
- Experience using Jenkins for CI/CD and automation.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and operational automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
- REXX programming experience.
- JCL development and batch processing knowledge.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within global teams.
- Strong documentation and technical writing capabilities.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
