Amazon's Time and Pay Innovation team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Hyderabad to design and build scalable, world-class systems for tracking time, attendance, and pay for millions of hourly associates. This full-stack role involves end-to-end ownership of critical features, technical leadership, and collaboration with product managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed systems for time, attendance, and pay data.
Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of critical features.
Drive technical excellence through best practices, design, and code reviews.
Mentor and develop junior engineers.
Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and partner teams on technical roadmaps.
Identify and resolve ambiguous problems, making trade-off decisions.

Requirements

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications

5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
