Join Alfa Laval as a Senior Project Manager in Pune, responsible for managing global projects with medium to high complexity. Develop and implement production methods and equipment, driving a Lean Six Sigma mindset and sharing best practices across factories.

Responsibilities

Manage global projects and activities in line with strategic direction.
Support Product Group and Factory Change Coordinators in implementing changes.
Identify and run concept studies for new processes and technologies.
Implement and validate global processes.
Act as an ambassador for Operations Development in India, introducing a performance culture.
Collaborate with other factories on technology development, manufacturing transformation, and digitalization.
Manage projects on time, specification, and budget.
Make decisions and manage allocated resources within the given frame and budget.
Manage stakeholders and communication.
Report to steering committees.
Suggest or lead improvements to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.
Design and implement production flows according to Lean principles.
Support process and project engineers.
Stay updated on new technologies and share knowledge.
Travel to support colleagues on other sites and conduct quality inspections.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical/Production or equivalent experience.
Leadership and management skills and experience.
10+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing company.
Experience from improvement tools (e.g., 5S, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2, Promal).
Project work experience.
Manage PMP/Promal/Lean Six Sigma/projects linked to HFH strategy.
Strong communicator, both in person and in writing, capable of using elevator speech principles globally.
Stakeholder management.
Understanding manufacturing processes (machining, forming & joining).
Drawing reading and understanding of GD&T.

Desired Qualifications

Hands-on experience on manufacturing processes (machining, forming & joining) would be an added advantage.
Curiosity and drive to understand new disruptive processes/technologies.
Willingness to influence and inspire factory management teams.
Ability to manage networks, form, drive, motivate, and socialize network members and stakeholders globally.
A desire to learn.
Customer focus.
Judgment and decision making.
