Responsibilities

  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for session management across Spotify’s clients, device types, and strategic partner integrations.
  • Identify access friction and prioritize improvements using research, data, and user feedback.
  • Improve session establishment, maintenance, and ending, balancing access, account protection, privacy, and user control.
  • Shape device connection, session transfer, and partner authorization experiences, including clear consent.
  • Partner with engineering to make session and access capabilities reusable via APIs, client components, and documentation.
  • Work across client, device, and partner teams to align priorities and drive adoption.
  • Define success measures for access quality, user friction, developer experience, and adoption.
  • Make trade-offs between experience improvements, technical investment, security, and privacy.

Requirements

  • Several years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products that improved user or developer outcomes.
  • Experience working on consumer products, identity and access, connected devices, developer products, or partner integrations.
  • Understanding of technical capabilities like session management, authorization, APIs, client behavior, or consent flows.
  • Strong product and user experience judgment.
  • Ability to reason through technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Translate complex product and technical decisions into clear language for different audiences.
  • Experience using research and data to test assumptions and measure impact.
  • Proven ability to lead work across teams with different priorities and build productive relationships.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear strategies and make difficult prioritization decisions.
