HCLTech is seeking a Senior Administrator - F5, Infoblox IPAM in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to serve as a senior technical escalation point and design authority for enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) services. This L4 role focuses on complex troubleshooting, platform engineering, service resilience, lifecycle planning, and automation for Infoblox environments, ensuring DDI services are reliable, secure, and scalable.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain Infoblox NIOS Grid architecture, including high availability, site resiliency, and capacity planning.
Engineer and troubleshoot authoritative and recursive DNS, DHCP scopes, ranges, reservations, and IPAM governance.
Lead technical diagnosis of critical DDI incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with Infoblox support.
Plan and execute NIOS upgrades, patches, appliance replacements, and configuration changes.
Develop automation using Infoblox WAPI/REST APIs and tools like Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
Establish actionable alerting and reporting for DDI services and optimize configurations.
Mentor L2/L3 engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience supporting enterprise Infoblox NIOS environments.
Expert-level understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM fundamentals.
Strong practical experience with Infoblox Grid administration, high availability, upgrades, backups, and recovery.
Ability to troubleshoot DNS resolution failures, DHCP allocation issues, and service degradation.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, DNSSEC, and secure DNS administration.
Hands-on experience with Infoblox WAPI/REST APIs and at least one scripting or automation tool.
Experience managing migrations from legacy or Microsoft DNS/DHCP platforms.
Strong understanding of incident, problem, change, and configuration management practices.
Ability to communicate technical risks, options, and recommendations clearly.

Desired Qualifications

Relevant degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant Infoblox training or certification in DDI administration, advanced troubleshooting, or architecture.
Experience with Infoblox Universal DDI, hybrid-cloud DDI management, and integration with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud DNS services.
Exposure to Infoblox DNS security capabilities, response policy zones, and integration with security monitoring platforms.
Experience integrating DDI workflows with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code, version control, and controlled deployment pipelines for network automation.
Relevant networking, cloud, or IT service management certifications.
