Responsibilities
- Manage continual improvement projects in manufacturing and office environments.
- Manage capital projects for new manufacturing equipment.
- Facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and prioritize project hopper with the Operational Excellence Manager.
- Deliver project update status reports to owners and management.
- Strategically coordinate projects within Operational Excellence to achieve annual cost savings goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification or other Lean certifications.
- 3 years of Project management training or experience managing capital or continuous improvement type projects.
- Manufacturing experience with metal or high-volume products.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to provide formal reports, calculate ROI, implement metrics, and audit procedures.
- Ability to utilize MS Office software at a high level.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with industrial coating processes is a plus.
- Experience with industrial automation or robotics is a plus.
- Experience with roll forming or tube mills is a plus.
- Ability to manage own projects as well as champion projects managed by others.
