Alfa Laval is seeking a Product & Application Engineer for Flow & Heat Transfer Process Equipment, based in Pune, India, or Cairo, Egypt. The role involves acting as a key technical advisor and product advocate to support the sales process, working closely with Flow & Heat Transfer Products within Business Unit WIFH.
Responsibilities
- Work with External & Inside Sales teams to meet customer requirements/expectations.
- Lead the technical part of customer requests, including site visits and meetings.
- Lead and Support in the quotation process for customer projects.
- Run virtual meetings, seminars, and webinars to increase awareness of Alfa Laval products and services.
- Act as a product champion in product launch or campaign drives.
- Define and deliver local training programs for employees, channels, and customers.
- Utilize CRM tools for sales process support and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to business principles and governance within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Technical Knowledge - Competent in various heat transfer & fluid handling processes and products.
- Knowledge of Commercial /incoterms.
- Good listening skills - active listening skills to comprehend customers’ technical requirements.
- Strong customer service orientation and sense of urgency.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and verbal formats.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skillset.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Email systems, specifically strong excel skills.
- Teamwork and team player mentality.
- Digital communication - Have a social media active profile and use digital channels to increase network and secure presence.
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering graduate / Diploma holder.
- Robust experience of handling quotations and customer communication.
- Minimum 3~5 Years of experience in any similar Food, Pharma and Water Industries.
