Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for powder processing equipment, including hoppers, spray dryers, tablet presses, filters, blenders, mixers, mills, and sieves, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve manufacturing performance.
- Lead facility and process improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and capacity enhancement initiatives to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Evaluate, specify, and implement new processing and automation technologies, including robotic solutions, to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to support quality standards, process control, continuous improvement efforts, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with engineering and analytical tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab (or equivalent statistical software), MS Office, and MS Project.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with experience applying structured methodologies such as 8D, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
- Working knowledge of PLCs and strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated accountability, integrity, and commitment to delivering quality results, with the ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 lbs. and climbing ladders when required.
