Volvo Penta is seeking a Temporary Order Management Assistant in Istanbul for a one-year period. Responsibilities include creating, monitoring, and validating sales orders, managing payment terms, and coordinating with logistics and finance teams. Responsibilities

Create, monitor, and manage sales orders for smooth processing and timely release to production.
Review and validate order accuracy, completeness, and readiness prior to production release.
Proactively identify and resolve technical, operational, or credit-related hold codes.
Collaborate closely with Logistics and Sales teams to confirm delivery schedules and provide accurate order acknowledgements.
Review payment terms and monitor payment status to ensure payments are received prior to shipment.
Verify payment status in SAP and coordinate with stakeholders for payment-related updates.
Review customs and shipping documentation for compliance and accuracy.
Coordinate with customers and global stakeholders for seamless order fulfillment and shipment readiness.
Monitor unapplied invoices and outstanding payments, working with Finance for reconciliation.
Handle customer requests related to returns, order modifications, resales, and other post-order activities.
Create debit and credit orders to correct invoicing discrepancies.
Support inventory optimization efforts by working to reduce and ship unapproved stock.
Follow up on customer account receivables and support collection processes.
Actively participate in regional and global meetings, forums, and cross-functional initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities, ad hoc projects, and additional responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong willingness to learn and develop in an international business environment.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-up, coordination, and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Long-term internship or work experience in Foreign Trade, Order Management, Logistics, or related functions is a plus.
Experience with Oracle and SAP is an advantage.
