Atlas Copco is seeking a National CSO Distribution Manager to develop and strengthen their US distributor base by streamlining systems and onboarding processes. This role involves market analysis, reporting, identifying new distributors, and managing relationships to meet growth targets. The position is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Develop and streamline the bi-annual review of all distributors across the U.S.
- Ensure targets are logged and reported to sales managers and principals.
- Launch a Distributor Rewards loyalty Program.
- Create online quoting tools to ensure distributors quote products appropriately.
- Develop a process to determine if regional distributors are meeting quality expectations and sales managers are following up on targets.
- Identify new potential distributors by utilizing industry and segment knowledge.
- Contribute to the identification of potential acquisitions.
- Serve as the primary contact for ACIDA and ACIDA meetings.
- Produce a functional distributor co-op program.
- Manage access to online distributor tools and portals.
- Review business development strategies regularly and recommend modifications.
- Maintain effective communication with Business Line Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, Sales Representatives, and Technical/Service departments.
- Prepare reports on market trends, business development results, competitor activity, sales forecasts, and prospective activity.
- Stay current on economic trends and news affecting the compressed air business.
- Maintain product knowledge and sales/marketing skills through training.
- Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, understanding customer needs.
- Take appropriate action to get the job done and maintain necessary communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five years of sales management experience, including field sales and territory management.
- Bachelor’s (4-year) Degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical area, and/or equivalent training and education.
- Proven leader able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Proficient in SAP Cloud 4 Customer.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Up to 25% local travel and some overnight travel required.
