IKEA Exeter is seeking a Kitchen Planner to join their Sales team. This role involves guiding customers through kitchen design and planning, offering personalized solutions based on their needs. The position is full-time with a starting salary of £27,540.78 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and inspire them with home furnishing solutions.
  • Guide customers through the kitchen planning and purchasing journey.
  • Support sales by ensuring areas are clean, well-presented, and easy to shop.
  • Perform kitchen planning and designing, providing accurate plans, worktop, and installation quotations.
  • Support customers from planning through to aftersales, securing payments both in-store and remotely.

Requirements

  • Experience in kitchen planning is an advantage.
  • Ability to form connections with customers, drawing on sales, retail, or customer service experience.
  • Keen interest in customers' home life to provide personalized solutions.
  • Experience in a customer and commercial-oriented business.
  • Confidence in taking initiative, adapting to new circumstances, solving complex issues, and communicating clearly with customers.
  • Openness to learning and working with various computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite and Planning Tools.
  • Engaging communicator with a friendly, approachable personality.
  • Solid background in customer-facing retail roles.

Desired Qualifications

  • Availability to work shifts covering days, evenings, and alternate weekends, including until 9:30 pm two evenings per week.
