We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician in Broxburn for a permanent, full-time position. Responsibilities include conducting MOT service inspections, fault finding, and carrying out repairs on a variety of trucks. Competitive salary with overtime, bonuses, and a signing-on bonus are offered.

Responsibilities

Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks.
Perform fault finding and carry out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and suspension systems.
Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
Assist with roadside breakdowns.
Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
Support the development of trainees and apprentices.

Requirements

A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
Previous experience working on HGV's or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
Hold an HGV license (for road testing).
