Responsibilities
- Design and development of fast, efficient, and well-structured software for the user plane in Ericsson’s packet core solutions.
- Work with microservices deployed in cloud environments, gaining experience with cloud technologies, containerized systems, and modern software tools.
- Contribute to the complete feature-development process: initial studies, design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to explore new technical solutions and develop features using modern technologies.
- Participate in the initial system testing of the team’s deliverables.
- Explore AI-driven software development and use AI tools to support learning, problem-solving, and development work.
Requirements
- A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Good programming skills, preferably in C or a similar language such as C++, Rust, or Go.
- Experience with Linux or UNIX environments.
- An interest in software development and problem-solving.
- A strong interest in telecom solutions, packet core, or communication networks—or a clear curiosity and willingness to learn more about these areas.
- A willingness to learn, collaborate, and take on new challenges.
- An interest in artificial intelligence and AI-agent development.
- An interest in learning more about the telecommunications industry.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in cloud and container technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Amazon EKS, OpenStack, or VMware.
- Experience or knowledge in real-time software development.
- Experience or knowledge in AI-agent development.
- Experience or knowledge in networking, including L2/L3 protocols, VPN, 3GPP standards, TCP, UDP, L2TP, or TLS.
- Experience or knowledge in packet core, datacom, or telecommunications.
- Python programming.
