As an EDA Tooling, Release & Sign-off Engineer at Synopsys in Dublin, you will own and execute the product release process for complex soft IP, develop and maintain EDA tooling and automation, and apply AI to enhance engineering productivity. This role requires experience with EDA tooling, release processes, scripting, and a strong understanding of ASIC design flows, with a focus on ensuring timely and confident product releases.

Responsibilities

Own and execute the product release process for complex soft IP, including assembly, packaging, and verification of deliverables.
Run release testing and sign-off, exercising regressions and quality gates before customer delivery.
Develop, run, and maintain EDA tooling, flow automation, and project infrastructure (Tcl/Python/Make-based), plus dashboards for tracking release status and quality.
Debug tooling and release failures end to end, analyzing logs, isolating root causes, and driving issues to closure.
Apply AI to accelerate debugging, summarize results, and improve scripts and flows.
Improve documentation, packaging and sign-off criteria, and reusable collateral for consistent releases across IP programs.

Requirements

2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent project work in EDA tooling and flow/automation development.
Experience with or strong aptitude for product release and sign-off processes.
Good scripting skills (Tcl and/or Python).
Practical, automation-first mindset.
Comfort with build/packaging systems, revision control (e.g., Perforce or Git), and regression/CI flows.
Sufficient understanding of ASIC design and verification flows to support and debug related tooling.
Ability to use AI tools effectively for debugging, summarizing results, and improving scripts/flows.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications

Hands-on logic engineering: synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), DFT, static checking (SpyGlass), formal equivalence (e.g., Formality), or power analysis.
Hands-on with Synopsys tools such as Fusion Compiler, VC SpyGlass, or Formality.
IP development methodologies, IP packaging, or reusable IP delivery / release collateral.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines, regression frameworks, or reporting dashboards.
