Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
- Work around other heavy machinery, such as other forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks.
- Ensure products are available to customers by completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure environment.
- Use forklift safely to pick palettes and move them from the loading bay to the warehouse.
Requirements
- Previous experience with forklift operations is beneficial, though not essential.
- High level of enthusiasm and a proactive, eager-to-learn mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise workload efficiently.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Efficient and motivated, capable of managing tasks with professionalism and collaboratively within a team.
- Comfort and competence in performing manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials in accordance with established safety procedures.
Benefits
- Planned start date is: 19th October 2026.
- Base hourly rate of £14.15 per hour.
- An additional £1.50 an hour (Forklift Allowance) and an additional £2.25 an hour (Nightshift Allowance) when working between the hours of 10pm and 6am.
- 39 hours per week, worked across 5 days, with shifts starting at 4:00am. Alternate weekends off.
- Option for a 30-hour contract can be discussed, with shifts from 4:00am to 10:00am, 5 days per week. Every fourth weekend off.
