This role involves maintaining and upkeeping data center infrastructure, including server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and troubleshooting network issues. You will be a primary contact point for internal customers and external partners, working to meet SLAs and participate in 24x7 shift rotations.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure.
- Server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components.
- Troubleshooting network issues and responding to emergent situations.
- Primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
- Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets.
- First line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
- Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management.
- Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Contribute to documentation on technical issues through root cause analysis.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
Requirements
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to lift & rack equipment up to 18kg.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations.
- Adherence to health & safety guidelines.
- Coverage of 24x7 shift rotation.
