Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, including DX units, Split AC, Ductable AC, VRF, Exhaust fans, and DAHUs.
- Manage Chilled Water Systems (Chillers, Pumps, Valves, Dampers, Actuators, Dosing systems, Make-up tanks).
- Maintain Fire Safety Systems (hydrant, sprinkler systems, emergency response equipment).
- Perform Generator Systems maintenance (A-check, B-check, C-check, D-check).
- Conduct non-destructive testing including Thermography, Eddy current test, and Ultrasonic Testing.
- Ensure personnel safety and infrastructure protection through risk management protocols.
- Comply with all safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for spare parts and support procurement.
- Facilitate technical training and manage work order approvals.
- Prepare and manage 52-week preventive maintenance calendars.
- Develop and update MOPs and SOPs.
- Create detailed equipment checklists.
- Track observations and implement cost-saving innovations.
- Execute cluster-level equipment maintenance.
- Document and report equipment observations.
- Create corrective work orders as needed.
- Coordinate with EAM team for scope/process changes.
- Conduct internal spares audits and ensure adequate spare parts availability.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility MEP management.
- Provide operational readings and key performance indicators to ensure uptime.
- Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors on-site, ensuring compliance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
- Oversee maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
- 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of data center engineering experience
- Knowledge of BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending.
