AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer in Hyderabad, India, to join their Data Center Operations team. This role involves maintaining and upkeeping data center infrastructure, including server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure.
- Perform server rack installation.
- Conduct hardware break-fix on various components.
- Troubleshoot network issues.
- Respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal customers and external partners.
- Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets.
- Perform on-call duties and participate in Data Center operations.
- Handle scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
- Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
Requirements
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Ability to lift & rack equipment up to 20kg
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations adhering to health & safety guidelines
- Willingness to cover 24x7 shift rotation
