Responsibilities
- Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates within contract parameters.
- Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring work aligns with established practices and local legislation.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on data center facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency with DCO managers and business leaders.
- Support the installation of racks and the provision of power/cooling.
- Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility management.
- Provide operational readings and key performance indicators to ensure uptime is maintained.
- Perform and oversee maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
- Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent.
- Experience in operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities.
