This full-time, permanent position is for a Utility Assembly-II on the 1st shift in Springfield, TN. The role involves supporting the Assembly department, training associates, understanding basic electrical systems, and reading wiring diagrams. A High School diploma/GED and at least one year of manufacturing maintenance experience are required.

Responsibilities

Provides support throughout the Assembly department in producing the highest quality products, on time, that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Assists supervisor in training of associates and follow-up of quality related issues.
Back fills for absenteeism.
Assists C.A. with changeovers.
Learns basic A.C.-D.C. electricity and electrical flow.
Reads and comprehends schematic wiring diagrams.
Troubleshoots functional defects.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing maintenance experience
Must be “Assessed and Standard Maintained” (3/4 boxes filled) in 4 (four) jobs in current zone
Communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing.
Able to read and write English.
Able to work with insulation.
Able to use air tools, hand tools necessary to perform position.
Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis
Ability to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
Ability to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending
Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet
