PaaS Engineer (L3) with over 9 years of experience in enterprise PaaS, cloud infrastructure, and container platforms. The role involves advanced administration, complex troubleshooting, automation, performance optimization, and ensuring operational stability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments using tools like AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

Responsibilities

Lead administration and operational support of enterprise PaaS and cloud application platforms.
Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes, container platforms, middleware, and cloud-native services.
Support application deployment, platform configuration, scaling, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Troubleshoot complex application hosting, container, API, middleware, network, and platform integration issues.
Lead PaaS-related major incidents, service restoration, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Plan and execute platform upgrades, patching, migrations, configuration changes, and post-change validation.
Manage platform availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Support High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup, and platform resilience requirements.
Develop and maintain platform automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent tools.
Support CI/CD pipelines and integration with DevOps deployment processes.
Manage IAM/RBAC, certificates, secrets, service accounts, and platform security controls.
Support vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and compliance activities.
Coordinate with Application, DevOps, Cloud, Database, Network, Cybersecurity, and vendor teams.
Provide technical guidance and escalation support to L1/L2 platform engineers.
Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and technical knowledge articles.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with enterprise PaaS and Cloud Platform Operations.
Advanced experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application platforms.
Strong experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Microsoft Azure PaaS services.
Good knowledge of microservices, APIs, middleware, application hosting, and cloud-native architecture.
Strong experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Git, and deployment automation.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, API Gateway, certificates, and application connectivity.
Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and application/platform performance analysis.
Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and platform security.
Knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup, and platform resilience concepts.
Strong experience with Major Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and RCA.
Strong troubleshooting, technical leadership, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Desired Qualifications

Relevant AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes/CKA, or Red Hat certifications preferred.
