  • Perform FE modeling of an example hull and map CFD pressure results onto the structure.
  • Compare the vibration contribution from pressure pulsations versus the gearbox path.
  • Develop a simplified method for accounting for the phenomenon, if feasible.
  • Perform acoustic simulation of the engine room.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of solid and fluid mechanics
  • Knowledge of Finite element method
  • Knowledge of Structural dynamics and vibrations
  • Knowledge of Acoustics
  • Knowledge of Hydrodynamics
  • Master (30 ECTS points) level thesis
  • Fluent in Swedish or English
