Amazon Finance Technology (FinTech) is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a team in Gurugram. This role involves building high-performance, globally scalable financial systems, driving innovation, and managing a team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will own product vision, roadmap, and the end-to-end customer experience, ensuring engineering excellence and innovative solutions for global payments.

Responsibilities

Develop and own product vision, strategy and road map.
Build and manage a team of software engineers.
Execute projects within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Participate in business reviews with executive leadership and provide status updates.
Drive architectural and design choices and invent new features.
Ensure the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance.
Ensure that software is designed to be highly-available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats.

Requirements

7+ years of engineering experience
3+ years of engineering team management experience
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Desired Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
