We are seeking a Software Dev Engineer II to join Amazon's India Grocery and Everyday Essentials team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. You will build ground-up supply chain systems for Amazon's quick commerce business, focusing on areas like demand forecasting and inventory management. This role involves designing and developing stable, performant software with a strong emphasis on pragmatic solutions and code maintainability.

Responsibilities

Solve difficult problems by applying appropriate technologies and best practices.
Invent, design, and build stable and performant software.
Demonstrate proficiency in various design approaches and apply them pragmatically.
Write understandable code with consideration for its legacy.
Limit short-term workarounds and minimize incidental complexity.
Create flexible software without over-engineering, making appropriate trade-offs.
Re-use existing solutions where possible and be judicious about introducing dependencies.
Be efficient with resource usage (system hardware, database, memory/CPU).
Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers on project ideas.
Work alongside talented Sr. SDEs, Sr. FEEs, and PEs.
Contribute to the business and product roadmap.

Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems).
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Desired Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
