As a Migration Operator for SharePoint migrations using ShareGate and Quest, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of these tasks. This role involves operating the tooling, handling migration exceptions, and producing repeatable scripts and reporting for wave-based migrations.

Responsibilities

Perform discovery scans and generate migration readiness reports.
Develop plans for migrating SharePoint 2019 sites to SharePoint Online and troubleshoot potential pitfalls.
Configure and run test migrations, incremental migrations, and final cutover migrations.
Troubleshoot common issues like authentication, permissions, throttling, and content anomalies.
Participate in mapping decisions for sites, users, and permissions.
Produce operator deliverables including execution logs, status metrics, exception lists, and checklists.
Support hypercare by responding to defects and performing re-runs.
Maintain tool standard configurations, templates, scripts, and reports.

Requirements

3+ years of IT operations or migration execution experience.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with ShareGate and/or Quest migrations from SharePoint Server 2019, 2016, or 2013 to SharePoint Online.
Strong SharePoint fundamentals: permissions, lists/libraries, site structures.
Ability to design pseudocode for scripts to gather data about sites and owners.

Desired Qualifications

PowerShell scripting (PnP, ShareGate automation) for operational efficiency.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview impacts on content moves.
