Responsibilities

Manage remarketing of Volvo Financial Services repossessed inventory for truck/trailer, construction, and coach portfolios.
Oversee operational duties and functions associated with asset disposal.
Develop wholesale and retail sales channels for efficient liquidation.
Manage loan and lease disposal post-repossession, including inspection, billing, and customer interfacing.
Develop and manage the remarketing buyer network and website.
Provide input on planning and strategy to mitigate losses and influence asset values.
Market and arrange the sale of company-owned assets to dealers, auctions, and customers.
Improve equipment resale values through vendor contract negotiation and buyer network expansion.
Manage pre- and post-sale asset divestment processes.
Manage vendors to ensure service levels and achieve company goals.
Propose finance support programs and offers to influence sales activity.
Prepare reports analyzing data, results, and trends to evaluate effectiveness.
Value truck/trailer/construction equipment/bus and discuss technical aspects.
Practice portfolio management and act as a subject matter expert on financed collateral.
Evaluate processes and results for continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity.
Represent Remarketing in cross-functional collaborations with internal partners like VFS Credit & Sales, Volvo, Mack, and VCE.
Evaluate and validate used equipment inventory reporting for other departments.
Evaluate trades on new transactions at the request of VFS Sales, Credit, Legal, etc.
Provide collateral training to other departments using mechanical expertise and industry knowledge.
Ensure compliance with legal (state & federal) and VFS policy & procedures.
Prepare reports, PowerBI dashboards, templates, spreadsheets, and presentations for communication.
Represent Remarketing in project management activities through various phases.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Industry experience within transportation, trucking, construction equipment, or equipment services.
At least 3 years of remarketing experience involving trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, buses, or coaches.
Proven understanding of asset valuation, resale strategies, and secondary equipment markets.

Desired Qualifications

ASE Certification- Truck Equipment Series (Preferred)
Experience practicing credit underwriting and risk management
Experience in sales and negotiation
Proficient in PC Microsoft Office skills (excel, power point, word)
Advanced knowledge of Access and data management
PowerBI Dashboard experience
