Responsibilities

  • Provide suppliers timely nonconformance data for rejected product.
  • Provide suppliers problem-solving and root cause analysis support.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to eliminate quality issues.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings.
  • Assist Quality Assurance with supplier correction of documentation errors.
  • Manage and monitor Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS).
  • Ensure appropriate supplier corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance assessments.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to address supplier-identified issues.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Create monthly reports.
  • Work with credit and debit memos.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Manufacturing Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering experience, preferably in an Engineered-to-Order facility.
  • Experience with materials, manufacturing technologies, and manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, and machining.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to facilitate work with cross-functional groups to drive results.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ASME Section III Nuclear and Navy Mil-Spec.
