Emerson is seeking a Project Lead Engineer-DCS in Noida, Uttar Pradesh for a hybrid role. You will lead hardware engineering for DCS projects, manage project execution, and provide support during FAT, site installation, and commissioning. This role requires a degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience in DCS/PLCs and proficiency with various platforms and industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

Lead hardware engineering for DCS projects, including architecture, cabinet design, I/O distribution, and network layout.
Define deliverables, plan execution, and allocate work to engineers, ensuring schedule, quality, and budget adherence.
Conduct technical reviews, identify risks, and manage technical decisions with cross-functional stakeholders.
Act as the technical focal point for cabinet build execution, resolving assembly queries.
Review customer specifications, identify gaps, and coordinate clarifications.
Prepare and review hardware deliverables such as system configuration drawings, cabinet GA, BOM, and documentation.
Coordinate with assembly/supply chain teams for build readiness and query resolution.
Plan and support Hardware FAT activities, tracking and resolving issues.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of controllers, I/O, workstations/servers, and networks.
Travel to Emerson factories and project sites for supervision and commissioning.
Support customer training and handover activities.
Ensure rigorous configuration control and traceability for revisions and submissions.
Ensure adherence to internal quality processes and project engineering checklists.
Capture lessons learned and drive standardization improvements for quality and efficiency.
Coach and technically develop engineers/designers through guidance and knowledge-sharing.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent field).
10 years' project engineering and commissioning experience in field of DCS / PLCs.
Proficiency with one or more DCS/PLC platforms (e.g., ABB 800xA / Bailey INFI 90 / Symphony Harmony, Yokogawa Centum VP/ CS3000, Siemens T3000 / TXP, GE Mark V / VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Honeywell XPKS, MaxDNA, Alstom Alspa320, Schneider, Siemens PLCs & SCADA etc.).
Experience supporting multi-stakeholder execution involving engineering centers, front offices, customers, and integrators/vendors.
Ability to interface third party systems with DCS using commonly used industrial protocols like Modbus, DNP3 etc.

Ability to optimally present information and respond to queries from management, clients and customers.
Experience of working on either Thermal/Combined Cycle or Water Treatment projects.
Knowledge of datalinks (Modbus RTU / TCP-IP, ELC, Profibus, OPC).
Ability to effectively handle multiple stakeholders.
