Tetra Pak is looking for a Project Coordinator in Nairobi, Kenya to manage commercial and administrative project aspects using SAP R3. This role requires strong communication, proactive approach, and 2+ years of Sea Freight experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and administrative aspects of projects.
- Prepare transport documentation including bill of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Ship project cargo and coordinate collection/delivery until final destination.
- Handle imports and exports, and process customs regulations.
- Prepare commercial documents, document legalization, and manage Letters of Credit.
- Issue purchase orders and manage logistics from supplier to customer.
- Create sales orders, invoices, and other documents required by local legislation.
- Perform material movement and service receipts in SAP.
- Coordinate with project teams, market companies, and customers.
- Support Project Manager with project control.
- Manage commercial aspects of contracts and projects.
- Ensure business requirements are met and understand the business scenario.
- Ensure process compliance and perform month-end accounting activities for projects.
- Handle project cost and revenue accounting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Sea Freight experience is essential.
- University Degree or specialization in Supply Chain Management, or Logistics Background.
- English language proficiency.
- Good knowledge of shipping documentation and Letter of Origin handling for the region.
- Good understanding and practical knowledge of contract accounting, purchase order, and logistics is essential.
- 2+ years’ experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience dealing with both Imports and Exports is beneficial.
- Knowledge of customs regulations would be desirable.
- Good planning skills.
- Drive and initiative.
- Able to work both independently and as a team player.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Systematic, meticulous, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer Oriented.
- Ability to act in a flexible and structured way at the same time.
