Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders to determine user requirements.
- Drives identification of dependencies and development of design documents.
- Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code for performance and maintainability.
- Leverages product expertise to drive project and release plans.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years technical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (such as C#, Python, Go, or Java) with experience in building distributed systems or cloud services.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture, microservices, or large-scale cloud systems (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Demonstrated understanding of secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, and service security fundamentals.
- Experience developing or integrating with AI/ML or automation frameworks.
- Solid problem-solving and system design skills.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Growth mindset with a passion for learning new technologies.
- Experience as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) or similar operational role.
- Experience with hyper scale distributed systems.
- Experience with cyber security analysis and threat modeling.
- Experience with Agentic programming and LLM.

- Typical base pay range across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year.
- Specific locations may have different ranges, e.g., San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area: USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
