Responsibilities
- Set and maintain accurate product list prices and manage discount structures.
- Monitor discount usage and identify trends or erosion of price realization.
- Conduct regular price and discount analysis to support decision-making.
- Support the annual price planning process with data and analysis.
- Analyze market and competitor pricing and discounting.
- Support the maintenance and application of pricing policies and processes.
- Participate in internal and cross-functional initiatives.
- Engage in Sandvik Safety First Culture and Core Values.
Requirements
- Proficient in fundamentals of big data and analytics.
- Strong MS Excel skills required.
- Solid understanding of metal cutting products, discount structures, and price-realization concepts.
- Good networking and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and propose sound recommendations.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of product pricing and profitability principles.
- Practical understanding of discount management.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- University degree level in Economics, Marketing, Business, Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Minimum 2–4 years professional experience in Pricing, Product management, Sales, or Finance.
- Hands-on experience with product pricing and/or discount management in a non-managerial, individual-contributor role.
- Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
