Operator II - Chassis Insulator is responsible for installing and positioning insulation on chassis units, wrapping wire, inspecting components for quality standards, and operating production tools on a moving assembly line in a hot manufacturing environment. This full-time, on-site position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities
- Place insulation on units and wrap wire when applicable.
- Check for proper positioning of insulation.
- Inspect parts to ensure high-quality product.
- Use of air gun and other tools or fixtures when appropriate.
- Function as a team member upholding team values, quality requirements, and safety and housekeeping requirements.
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
- Inspect parts on a moving process line.
- Work in hot areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Communicate effectively.
- Safely operate basic hand tools, air guns, and production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Inspect products for quality defects and maintain quality standards while working on a moving production line.
- Accurately place and position insulation materials according to specifications.
Desired Qualifications
- Able to work directly with insulation.
- Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Able to stand up to seven (7) hours at a time.
