Vattenfall is seeking a Junior Environmental Products Analyst | Trading Analyst for their Stockholm office. This role involves conducting fundamental and quantitative analysis to support trading strategies for environmental products, monitoring market developments, and contributing to the success of the Trading Analysis department.

Responsibilities

Conduct commercially relevant fundamental and quantitative analysis to support traders and develop trading strategies for environmental products.
Monitor market and policy developments, identify key fundamental drivers, and provide price views and advice to traders.
Develop and interface with supporting functions on markets modelling, business-driven model development, and policy analysis.
Run and further develop position management and optimization tools for environmental products.
Support trading business development and origination activities related to environmental products.
Develop and automate routines, procedures, and applications for analysis or portfolio positions related information and data.
Contribute to the analysis output of the Trading Analysis department and the commercial success of BU Trading.
Educate traders in relevant environment products and policy topics.

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, physics, or other relevant quantitative subject.
Knowledge and first experience in market analysis of environmental products in a commercial or trading environment.
Experience with fundamental and quantitative models for environmental product markets.
Ability to steer business-driven model development and policy analysis in supporting functions.
Strong statistical, analytical, and programming skills (ideally Python).
Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with various internal stakeholders.
Result oriented, independent working method with high reliability and readiness to take on responsibility.
Proactive team player with strong eagerness to learn.

Desired Qualifications

Additional experience with analysis of other energy commodities, e.g., EU ETS or UK ETS, is advantageous.
Additional Swedish (or Norwegian alternatively) language skills are clearly advantageous.
