We are seeking an engaged Junior Developer for our Simulation Services team in Kraków, Poland. You will contribute to the development and testing of UE Simulators for 5G networks, working in an agile environment. The role requires Python skills, familiarity with LTE/5G standards, and knowledge of Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of an agile team that contributes to the development of a UE Simulator.
  • Take part in configuring and testing Simulators on underlying hardware.
  • Work in an exciting technical area, supporting Ericsson internal users with a product for 5G.
  • Participate in analysis, system design, pre-development, and implementation in small increments.

Requirements

  • Software engineering skills with the ability to write high-quality code (must have: Python; nice to have: C/C++ and Java).
  • Familiarity with the standards and protocols used in LTE or 5G networks.
  • Knowledge of RF propagation, modulation schemes, and signal processing.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and how software interacts with hardware components.
  • Knowledge of multi-core/multithreading processor programming and parallel processing.
  • Competence in Linux.
  • Readiness to explore new opportunities and continuously learn.
  • MSc or BSc level in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science.
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills in English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Given our current Platform Engineering activities, including an ongoing migration to GitLab, a more DevOps-oriented profile is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid knowledge of Git and GitLab, ideally in a CI/CD context.
  • Experience with Jenkins or another CI/CD pipeline orchestrator.
  • Familiarity with event-driven CI/CD architectures.
