Alfa Laval is seeking a Global Category Manager for Machining, Welding & Extrusion to develop and implement purchasing strategies, manage projects, and negotiate commercial agreements. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers, requiring expertise in international negotiations and supplier relations.

Responsibilities

Development and implementation of strategies through close corporation with stakeholders
Managing and driving purchasing projects
Finding opportunities, negotiating and maintaining commercial agreements
Corporation with R&D - testing materials & audits
Being updated on the international metal market and following development of new materials, processes and markets

Requirements

Several years of work experience and a good commercial track-record, either from a purchasing and / or sales position
Substantial experience in international negotiations and supplier relations (SRM)
Graduate degree in engineering/purchasing, relevant business education or similar
Good computer skills including MS Office
Excellent written and verbal English

Desired Qualifications

Technical experience of Machining and Welding processes is a strong merit
