The Flow Team Manager will coordinate and optimize workflow processes, ensure quality standards, and support team development within the manufacturing department. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate assigned flow team and assembly/welding department shift leaders.
  • Collaborate with the team to establish and evaluate performance goals.
  • Deploy employees based on their qualifications.
  • Continuously monitor work results and implement corrective measures.
  • Drive improvements within the department focusing on personnel development and Lean principles.
  • Assume tasks in the absence of the Operations Manager.
  • Independently lead and optimize work planning and material flows for the Production Department.
  • Collaborate with operational planning, including Project Management and New Product Introduction.
  • Ensure product delivery meets quality standards within specified time and cost constraints.
  • Lead work and project groups, including change meetings.
  • Independently plan and monitor the budget, coverage, and costs.
  • Conduct capacity and space planning for manufacturing and assembly cost centers.
  • Continuously improve work methods, processes, and workflows.
  • Sequence orders for optimal resource utilization and perform value stream analyses.
  • Monitor and support the resolution of quality problems and the implementation of improvements.
  • Oversee costs and deadlines related to requested production aids.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years’ experience in manufacturing operations.
  • 5 years‘ managerial experience.
  • Experience in managing and motivating teams and in leading safety, quality and other improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated skill and achievement in implementing lean practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated skill and achievement in successfully delivering quality products on-time.
  • Solid experience with computerized MRP programs (Encompix preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple groups to drive goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
